MN Office of Higher Education, ECMC's The College Place and MN Department of Education are coming together to support Minnesota Goes to College, our state's effort to provide graduating high school seniors with the tools they need to enroll in college.
Ready, Set, FAFSA!
Join us on Tuesday evenings to learn about paying for college and completing the FAFSA or MN Dream Act Application.

Session date/times:
2/08/2022, 7pm – Financial Aid Overview
2/15/2022, 7pm – Complete the FAFSA
2/17/2022, 7pm – Complete the MN Dream Act
2/22/2022, 7pm – Understanding Your Offer Letter
3/01/2022, 7pm – Scholarship Search

For students who register and attend 4 out of 5 of the above listed sessions a $500 scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing!

Shawn Reynolds
State Financial Aid Program Administrator @MN Office of Higher Education
Shawn Reynolds is a State Financial Aid Program Administer at the MN Office of Higher Education, working with the MN State Grant and MN Dream Act programs. Shawn is new to the MN Office of Higher Education, but brings with him over 15 years of experience administering financial aid at MN colleges. His favorite part of this work is helping students navigate the financial aid process on their way to reaching their educational goals.
Tara Pribnow
The College Place Director @ECMC
Tara Pribnow is the director of The College Place Minnesota. She has three years of experience working with students and educators through college access programs. Her favorite part about this work is helping others in her community. She especially enjoys teaching students about career exploration, and explaining the importance of education beyond high school.
Jesús Hernández Mejía
Assistant Dean of Financial Aid @Gustavus Adolphus College
Jesús is the first in his family to graduate from high school and go to college. He went to Worthington Community College, now Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and earned an Associate of Arts degree. He transferred to Mankato State University, now Minnesota State University Mankato, and earned a BS in Computer Engineering Technology. He has worked in financial aid for several years and is currently the Assistant Dean of Financial Aid at Gustavus Adolphus College. Jesús has worked with the outreach team since 2010. His outreach area includes South Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities. He offers presentations in English and Spanish.
