Ready, Set, FAFSA!
Are you or someone you know applying to college this year? We can help! Join us this fall for a series of college and financial aid webinars created specifically for students and families to help them prepare for the college-going process. All sessions will be on Tuesday evenings and approximately one hour long with a short presentation from financial aid experts. Interpreters will be available in Spanish, Hmong and Somali. And, your questions will be answered live in the chat. Students who attend these sessions will be entered into a drawing to win one of two $500 scholarships!

Tara Pribnow
Director, The College Place - MN @ECMC
Tara Pribnow is the director of The College Place Minnesota. She has four years of experience working with students and educators through college access programs. Her favorite part about this work is helping other first generation students in her community. She especially enjoys teaching students about career exploration, and explaining the importance of education beyond high school.
Tara Winchester, Ed.D.
Program Administrator | State Financial Aid Programs @OHE
Tara Winchester began working at the MN Office of Higher Education in November 2021. She is primarily responsible for administering the Future Together Grant program. For the past 15 years, Tara has worked in various financial aid, one stop, and admissions roles on college campuses in MN, most recently serving as the Associate Director of Financial aid at St. Cloud State University. Tara lives in St. Cloud with her husband and two school-aged children. She enjoys being outside, fitness activities, reading, cooking, and snuggling their two cats.
Mai Chue Ozcan
Post Secondary Pathways Coordinator @Get Ready | GEAR UP
Mai Chue Ozcan is a Post Secondary Pathways Coordinator with the GEAR UP/Get Ready program. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Work from St. Catherine University in 2012, and her Masters of Public Administration from Hamline University in 2022. Mai Chue has 10 years of higher education experience that includes college recruiting and admissions, financial aid , advising, and programming. As a first generation college student, Mai Chue is excited to have the opportunity through GEAR UP/Get Ready to share her knowledge and experience with high school students and their families as they prepare for their post secondary plans.
